Scott Shapiro, MD - Chairman of the Board
Dr. Scott Shapiro graduated from Harvard Medical School’s Massachusetts General Hospital Residency Program and a Fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine. In addition, he completed his Medical Internship at Harvard Medical School’s Mount Auburn Hospital. He is an Assistant Professor of Behavioral Health at New York Medical College. After completing his training, he worked for eight years as the Director of Psychiatry at St. Vincents Catholic Medical Center’s Infectious Disease Center. He is currently the Medical Director of Advanced Behavioral Psychiatry where he specializes in psychopharmacology management as well as cognitive behavioral therapy in helping people overcome depression, anxiety and other mental health issues. He is a Diplomate of Psychiatry and Neurology and a Dimplomate of Psychosomatic Medicine and a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
David Lindenbaum, Esq. - Board Member
David Lindenbaum has been practicing law in New York City since he graduated from Columbia University School of Law over ten years ago. He has represented clients on numerous litigation and transactional matters, with a particular focus on intellectual property law. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, and he is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
David received an undergraduate degree in accounting from the Wharton School, and an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
Allison Applebaum, PhD – Clinical Operations Co-Chair
Dr. Allison Applebaum is an Assistant Attending Psychologist in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) were she is the Director of the Caregivers Clinic. Dr. Applebaum completed her doctorate in clinical psychology from Boston University, her clinical internship at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill-Cornell Center, and her fellowship in psycho-oncology at MSKCC. She is a New York State licensed clinical psychologist. Dr. Applebaum has over ten years of clinical and research experience in the field of behavioral medicine, has received funding for her research from the American Cancer Society, is the author of over twenty peer-reviewed papers and book chapters, and has presented her research at national and international conferences. Her program of research is directed toward promoting the psychological and physical well-being of individuals diagnosed with chronic medical illnesses, and focuses broadly on the development of psychotherapeutic interventions for medically ill patients and their caregivers, and the identification of barriers to mental health service use among such individuals.
Jessica Pizzo – Secretary, Operations Chair
Jessica has over 12 years of experience providing management consulting services to Financial Services clients. She specializes in the management of operations and finance transformation programs. She is currently an Advisory Services Senior Manager at Ernst & Young. Jessica holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA in Computer Science from New York University.
Camille Archer, MD – Clinical Operations Co-Chair
Dr. Camille Archer graduated from St. Vincents Hospital residency in Psychiatry and Neurology and subsequently completed her fellowship at the same hospital in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
